The project was spearheaded by the City of Kingston and performed by A Colarusso and Sons, Inc of Hudson, NY. LHV Precast, Inc. manufactured and delivered pre-cast post-tensioned bridge deck slabs to replace the decking of the failing bridge supporting Elmendorf Street. The bridge spans the Kingston Rail Trail.
The project includes the replacement of the existing Caretakers Road Bridge over the Walloomsac River. The bridge is approximately 1,000 feet south of the intersection with Route 67 in the Town of Hoosick, Rensselaer County.
