A highlight of the conference was the technical presentation, “The Evolution of Storm Water Detention Systems – A Designer and Installer’s View,” presented by Frank Currivan of Goodflow Solutions and Pat Carrara, PE. The presentation examined some of the pros and cons associated with traditional stormwater storage solutions such as proprietary precast concrete structures and plastic arch type detention systems, from both a designer and an installer’s perspective. The talk also highlighted new developments in the industry, such as the state-of-the-art modular StormArc precast concrete stormwater detention system.
